Picturemill was approached by the filmmakers of the Stephen King adaptation with the task of designing a unified treatment to the opening logos, setting the stage for the film to follow. Inspired by the stormy opening scenes, we proposed a sequence transitioning from the familiar sunny Warner Bros. logo to an ominous rainstorm. Photo-real rain interacts with the logos as a lone red balloon floats up into the sky, hinting at the otherworldly presence of Pennywise the Clown.
