Mains on End
Anaconda (2025)
The Concept
For the Mains on End this sequence showcases scenes from the film in a grungy indy film poster aesthetic, like flyers for a film in the main characters’ hometown.
The Process
Our team had access to early cuts allowing for an immersive review of the film and to select moments fitting to the narrative and tone for the ending.
Working in collaboration with the editorial team, we began crafting preliminary mock-up edits. These early versions explored various pacing, rhythm, and visual aesthetics, utilizing a wide array of temporary music tracks to try for the energy of the sequence. This phase was highly iterative with many trial and errors to fit the films ending,
Every individual image was either carefully extracted or rotoscoped from its original film plate. This process allowed us to isolate the subject matter with precision, ensuring a clean visual.
Following extraction, each setup was composed with the corresponding credit or textual element. Great care was taken to ensure that the image and the overlying credit text did not visually conflict, maintaining a clear separation and high legibility with a good balance.
