Instinct follows Alan Cummings as a brilliant author and detective that is able to piece together all manner of evidence and clues to construct a clear picture of a crime. Picturemill adapted his capabilities into the opening title design by assembling the numerous facets and faces of the detective into a collage on an evidence lightbox. The gaps between photographs, evidence sheets, and police equipment leave shapes of letters that radiates light to create the main title.
