For George Tillman’s powerful film, The Hate U Give, Picturemill worked with the filmmakers to create a impactful main title sequence and end title sequence that would match the gravity of the film, but would also be uplifting and hopeful. We created a main title animation that emulated the book cover and brought Starr to life as a beacon of change. For the end title sequence, Starr again is the leader of progress as we follow her journey in a stark black and white world.
