Jelly Roll, David Guetta, Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow and Dr. Robotnik are transported into a retro-film inspired adventure and dance their way through the new song by Jelly Roll and David Guetta in the “Run It” music video for Paramount Pictures’ Sonic The Hedgehog 3. This is the third music video that Picturemill has produced for the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise with producers Neal Mortiz and Toby Ascher.

This mains on end sequence for Paramount Pictures‘ Sonic the Hedgehog 3 features the angular and dynamic characters inspired by SEGA‘s 1996 game “Sonic the Fighters.” The 3D characters and environment are a reflection of the evolution of the film series and franchise as a whole in Picturemill’s third film collaboration of the series with director Jeff Fowler and Original Film producers Neal Moritz and Toby Ascher.

Using Maya and Cinema4D, our animators created a holographic video game inspired world that forms and shifts around the characters as they speed through the sequence, building their path.

Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and the entire lineup of characters were modeled and animated in Blender to capture their bold proportions and dynamic animations that evoke the game. The models were then brought into Maya and Cinema4D and incorporated into the environment, completing their integration into the sequence and create a visually striking and fun experience that blends retro aesthetics and modern animation techniques.

In our second collaboration (Luck) with Skydance Animation we handcrafted unique looks for the Mains on end credit sequence and end crawl inspired by the film.   The amazing artists – Elena and Olivia brought and the natural look  and majestic feel the filmmakers were looking for.

EMPIRE WAIST, from Wayfarer Studios, is an endearing film that captures a body image perspective that’s commonly ignored. Claire Ayoub is an incredible spirit, we were delighted each time we had an opportunity to speak about her films title sequence. Embracing the lead characters fashion sketches we designed and animated the main title sequence design and end credit sequence celebrating the unique creative spirit that was hiding within.

Continuing a successful history of title sequences, Picturemill partnered with Paramount Animation and Hasbro to create the Main Title sequence for Transformers ONE.  Inspired by the tremendous CG transformation done by production Picturemill created a working alphabet to transform the credits from one to the next, using a combination of Maya, AE, C4D and Love.
